While I was getting my nails done, I went through the order of the day, had a meeting with my VA, and even watched a training video from my mentor. And I still loved getting pampered with my foot massage. LOL!
The truth is that as a mom and business owner, I only get to work between 25 - 30 hours a week and I need to make this happen in order for me to be present with my kids.
So each day I am strategic about what needs to be done, organized, and sometimes I have to outsource different tasks. With my VA in tow, I'm able to delegate tasks that take up too much of my time so I can focus on content creation, client work, and other tasks.
You CAN have fun, enjoy your day, and still be productive in your job! And yes, you can still disconnect when it’s time to shut down the laptop.
It doesn’t have to be either or, it’s about adapting what you have to do in your personal life in order to make your professional life work to the best of your ability!
Here are other examples:
Have your groceries delivered - saves me 1 to 2 hours a week.
Pay someone to clean your house - I love my cleaning lady and I pay her $20 an hour - that saves me 5 hours a week and I’m pretty bad at cleaning.
Take your laptop everywhere, for example, for me, gymnastics. I get to write a blog post while my kids are having fun and I still get to take them and watch them.
Get help from your family - we eat at their house at least once a week and allows me to not worry about cooking for that day!
In other words, outsourcing what you can and making the best of the time that you have! It can be done!
